Alone in bunker
"Alone in Bunker tells the survival of a micro-society in a region temporally isolated from the rest of the world. Over time and struggling, conflicts of resources, territories, power, and faith emerge. While a large group of survivor investigates a solution to their situation, an unexpected hope appears after 20 years of darkness. The problem is that even hope itself didn't expect to be there!"
Alone in Bunker was born around 2015/2016 when I discovered the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 4. A spark of inspiration made me realize that I could create my own post-apocalyptic world too! And this same feeling of excitement led me to the incredible world of video game creation.
The book project
Since late 2021, I considered this story too big to be told through a video game I would have to create on my own. I decided to turn this project into a book which I am still in the process of writing to this day.
Adapting a story from the video game medium to the book is an interesting adventure full of surprises. After more than 2 years of writing this book, a lot of elements in the story from characters to events evolved, and so did my narration skills!
Keep in mind that the written samples below were not updated and are of lower quality than what I am able to produce today.
The game project
Alone in Bunker is a story-driven First-Person Adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic Soviet era in the late 80s. The scenario is based on a failed time manipulation experiment that led to a disaster. The narration is designed to be linear in favor of a richer story.
The following samples are set in the first levels of the game, introducing the player to the game lore through dialogues and cinematics.
